He's no nonsense, sarcastic, brilliant, witty, emotional, passionate, patriotic, decisive, moralistic and action oriented. He is mature and has had his share of close scrapes-both in his personal and professional life. He is multilingual and fluent in most of them and admits to a self-deprecating humor even in the most intense moments of his missions. But most of all he is gritty and will get the job done-in some interesting and indeed varied ways! (less)

Stoker is an MD and Dr. Bandettini is a DO. Why the Difference?

First, I’m thrilled to be a D.O. or Doctor of Osteopathy. I would’ve also been happy to earn an M.D. degree. But, when I walked into the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in DesMoines, Iowa, I felt like I’d arrived home. I knew that’s where I needed to go. It was my life plan, and it unfolded before me that day. It was the right decision for me.

Just like most DOs, I could’ve a

Connie Anderson I just found this on NetGalley: books that are not out yet, that you can read and review:

The Digital Doctor
Hope, Hype, and Harm at the Dawn of Medicine's Computer Age
By Robert Wachter

Dr. Robert Wachter, acclaimed author and "one of the most influential people in healthcare" (Modern Healthcare magazine), peels back the curtain to expose the many glitches of a transitioning healthcare industry using compelling stories and hard-hitting analysis. Wachter examines why medicine and computers have proven to be such awkward companions, and how to redefine the roles of doctors in an era of electronic healthcare. This riveting book offers essential reading for everyone----patient and provider alike----who cares about the function and future of our medical system.

I see that Blair Howard chose your book to read!!!! I know he is going to love it! He writes the BEST Civil War stories!!!!

Connie Anderson I have a great TRUE FRANCIS story! If my computer doesn't lose it like my Kindle did. I was in your office, and you told me about the most hilarious thing!! You were riding your bike to work, with a loaded gun in your backpack, when 2 secret service officers stopped you at a checkpoint? was it? Anyways, they wanted to know if you were carrying a weapon. Why? Sarah Palin was in BALTIC, SOUTH DAKOTA!!! You told them that yes, you had a concealed weapon's permit to be carrying your gun. They wanted you to turn around and go back. You told them that you HAD to get to work. You told them to let you pass OR ELSE THEY COULD LOAD YOUR BIKE IN THEIR TRUNK AND TAKE YOU THERE!!!! Oh my God! Just knowing you: it is something only you would get away with!!!!! I still laugh til this very day!!! And a week before that, Richard Petty was in BALTIC, SOUTH DAKOTA!!!! Hey!!!! I got it now!!!! YOUR WIFE WAS A SECRET SERVICE AGENT!!!!! Those men let you keep going to work. She must have called ahead and told them that an old timer on a bike was coming their way and to do him a favor for her! See!!!! I'm on to you!!! I wonder if those guys ever told Sarah Palin about the incident. I bet she laughed!!! It is freakin' hilarious!!!!! You sure told them!!! ha ha ha haaaaaaaahhhhhhh my ribs and cheeks hurt for laughing so much! You are so great, Dr. B!!!!
