I’m sure like Andy, you'll remember that pivotal moment in your life, that one milestone when you picked up your first real book and placed it down again three hours later, mesmerized and enthralled. But there are other times where writing is like wat…moreIt’s been a joy and I’ve loved every minute of it. Sometimes it’s tricky to get your mind in gear. But there are other times where writing is like watching a movie, looking on as these wonderful characters come alive and turn into living breathing people, complete with their own feelings.
As I travel so much and visit so many interesting places, I love to build those experiences into the story, so no matter whether it’s a remote lighthouse on the west coast of Scotland, an old silver mine in Alva, or the wonderfully atmospheric Midlina (Bridge between two continents) in Iceland. I want to the reader to believe that these places are real. Because in most cases, they are. (less)
