I will probably think of many, but I will start with Marcia and David in "Marcia Schuyler" by Grace Livingston Hill. Marcia is sweet and innocent despite the troubling people around her. And she saw honor and greatness in David. David is also full of honor and even in his heartache treats Marcia with honor and duty until they are brought together completely. Both sacrificed and in the end was joy.
