I can see if this was all you had to do in a day where you could eventually get blocked…moreI don't have enough time to write to deal with writer's block. I can see if this was all you had to do in a day where you could eventually get blocked by being too close to your profession. After I address the needs of my full time job and my family what little time I have left to write (weekends and vacation) get filled quickly and so I am extra motivated to get started or else that times goes to other pressing matters.(less)

I am a scientist by training not a fiction writer and while I have written a lot in the past, it has been primarily scientific journal articles, reports, or patent applications and such. Writing fiction is a totally different concept. Scientific writing involves putting as much explanation of data generated in the fewest words possible, where fiction writing dictates you must explain things thoroughly and emotionally connect with the reader. Two very different concepts. But both are fulfilling in their own regards, especially when the reader finds the writing valuable.(less)
