Kathleen Wright is drawn to capturing unexpected stories where characters discover they are more than they know, move onward and upward, and realize that saving the world can take many forms. She dreams up new adventures to write about riding bikes and kayaking with her husband in the beautiful and varied terrains and small towns of the West. When she’s home in Utah, she’s teaching refresher writing online for a university, listening to old time radio detective shows, and trying to convince her rescued Border Collie that Mom knows best.

Her first novel for Harlequin Heartwarming, Waiting for Sparks, is out! Kathy also has a middle grade animal rescue novel series out, The S.A.V.E. Squad, writing as Kathleen Damp Wright.

Why read wholesome romance? An author’s perspective

Most of my friends don’t read the romance genre, for whatever reason, so I’m not soaked with discussions on why we read it. I surprised myself by writing a romance with Waiting for Sparks, but I can say I love how it turned out. When I read this older post from  Varena Denam, I liked […]
