Because I am still kickin', a womb to tomb bio this will not be. A few highlights before reader boredom sets in: June this year will be the 72nd anniversary of the initial slap I got on my rump so I could announce my arrival. That was in Whiting, IN, a tiny speck of a town in the northwestern tip on the state. After two weeks, I was whisked to Denver where I would live until I was twelve.

At eight I began to write. My product was no masterpiece but was, in fact, a "re-working" of a song I heard called "Oh, what a mule was Charlie!" After that for a few years I wrote variations of that theme, as well as variations of fairy tales, jokes, family stories--actually I was a young plagiarist.

My family moved back to Indiana where I graduated high school, went off to college (IU), got married, fathered four daughters in three years (one birth was twins), worked as a newspaper reporter, caseworker, cab driver, teacher; you name it I probably did it.

In 1977 I got a divorce, remarried in 1978, moved to Virginia where I am now, taught high school English, writing, theatre arts--retired in 1998 and began writing full time.

Published my first novel "For the Heart's Treasure" in 2009, my second "Children of Bast" 2011. Both are self-published through http://www.createspace.com and available as print editions and Kindle at http://www.amazon.com.Other ebook versions are available at http://www.smashwords.com.

All through the previous years I wrote as much as I could and published a few pieces here and there for no money. Now the excitement of being able to put words together and create stories is altogether overwhelming. I'm lovin' life like never before.

So, no end to this story. Just another chapter being formed as I breathe. My journey is like walking in perpetual sunshine through an orchard filled with all the fruits of the world. I'm free to pick any I want, taste and enjoy or taste and discard as I see fit. When I arrive at my destination, I will have no regrets and will be ecstatic.
