Suilyaniz Cintron For me the best thing about being a writer is the freedom to pour my thoughts unto a page and create characters and situations from my imagination.

New work in progress

Working hard on a Spanish language fantasy novel inspired by the Danmei genre! And the tentative date for my novel set in Korea will be 2025 since I will plan to finish it after the one I’m doing now.

“Running is easy… but doesn’t dull the pain” she whispered with a sigh and touched the spot where her heart was. “I realized that trying to heal scars on one’s own can make them greater and that’s why I came back.”
Suilyaniz Cintron, Crying, the Nightingale

“And as she stepped into the living room, pulling the blue coat over her dress, Warren saw what Moira Lily was, a songbird that hadn’t been allowed to stretch her wings and fly, to experience life’s beauty, not its pain or sorrows. She was a nightingale and her cry was the sadness that resided in her heart and which Warren now heard as he watched her in silence.”
Suilyaniz Cintron

“He stopped, gazing at the girl who stood before it. The man guessed the child to be ten years old. She had dark brown hair to her neck with ends that showed curls, ivory skin and large eyes of sapphire blue. Thin and barefooted, with soot on her face she wore an old, tattered white dress. As the child turned to look at him, the man thought she must be an orphan beggar and he was unable to tear his face away from her eyes. Those bright blue eyes filled with an incomprehensible sadness. What pain did she carry?”
Suilyaniz Cintron, Windswept

“If you were music, I would listen to you ceaselessly, and my low spirits would brighten up.”
Anna Akhmatova, The Complete Poems of Anna Akhmatova

“If you have two friends in your lifetime, you're lucky. If you have one good friend, you're more than lucky.”
S.E. Hinton

“There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you.”
Beatrix Potter

“The world was hers for the reading.”
Betty Smith, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

“Look at everything always as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time: Thus is your time on earth filled with glory.”
Betty Smith, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
