Kirsten Brox fand während der Studienzeit zum Hundesport. Zunächst ein Hobby, wurde nach den ersten Turniererfolgen 1995 eine Leidenschaft daraus.

Im Frühjahr 2012 erschien ihr "Trainingsbuch Agility". Publiziert unter einer freien Lizenz errang das Werk die mit 4.000 € dotierte Auszeichnung "DerneueBuchpreis.de". Dieser Preis wird vom Tagesspiegel, ZEIT ONLINE, Stiftung Lesen und epubli ausgelobt.

Vom Gewinn finanzierte sie die Nimmermärchen, eine Anthologie, deren Erlös Krankenhausclowns gespendet wird. Zahlreiche Kurzgeschichten, hauptsächlich aus der Phantastik, erschienen in der Folge in Anthologien. Schließlich erschien ihr Debütroman Matamba, ein Steampunk-Abenteuer.
