I started writing as soon as I could put letters to paper. My first story was about a rabbit, which my teacher, a nun, really liked - I got to read the story to my class! I then wrote a story about a young girl who had a visitation from the Virgin Mary, which pleased my teacher so much, she had me read it to other classes as well!
Over the years I have written many short stories, and after becoming a New Thought minister, started writing my observations on life. Many years later, I've compiled these observations into a daily reading book -- my first published work!
Being published seemed to open a creative faucet -- Now my fiction muse is hankering to be published as well!

“Abraham-Hicks: “It’s not your work to make anything happen. It’s your work to dream it and let it happen. Law of Attraction will”

“J. K Rowling, author of the delightful Harry Potter books, said in her 2008 commencement address to Harvard, “We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.”
Angelica Jayne Taggart, And So It Is: A Book of Uncommon Prayer

“The Chinese consider the deer to be a symbol of happiness and good fortune. Indeed, its name in Chinese is a homonym for the word abundance.”
Angelica Jayne Taggart, And So It Is: A Book of Uncommon Prayer

“There are two motives for reading a book; one, that you enjoy it; the other, that you can boast about it.”
Bertrand Russell

“A room without books is like a body without a soul.”
Marcus Tullius Cicero

“At night, I open the window
and ask the moon to come
and press its face against mine.
Breathe into me.
Close the language-door
and open the love-window.
The moon won't use the door,
only the window.”
Mawlana Jalal-al-Din Rumi, A Year with Rumi: Daily Readings

“Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love. We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us. The world changes when we change. The world softens when we soften. The world loves us when we choose to love the world.”
marianne williamson

“I believe that Love is at the center of everything; therefore, I accept Love as the healing power of life. I permit Love to reach out from me to every person I meet. I believe that Love is returned to me from every person I meet. I trust the guidance of Love because I believe it is the power of Good in the universe. I feel that Love is flowing through me to heal every situation I meet, to help every person I contact. Love opens the way before me and makes it perfect, straight, and glad. Love forgives everything unlike itself; it purifies everything. Love converts everything that seems commonplace into that which is wonderful. Love converts weakness into strength, fear into faith. Love”

Kathleen Perkins Angelica, I love getting your book recommendations. I was wondering if you'd be good enough to tell me a little about them so I can better decide whether I wish to add them to my reading list.
Thanks,
Kathleen
