Anthony J. Viola is a professor of English at Marshall University where he teaches literature and creative writing. He received his Ph.D. in creative writing at Ohio University and has taught at the University of Kentucky. His short stories have appeared in Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing, Gulf Coast, The Connecticut Review, Aethlon: Journal of Sports Literature, and Five 2 One Magazine. One story was listed in “100 Other Distinguished Stories,” Best American Short Stories 2007 and another story received a Pushcart Prize nomination.

Born and raised in New York, West Virginia is the sixth state he has lived in along with Pennsylvania, North Dakota, Ohio, and Kentucky. He lives in Huntington, WV.

I'm happy to report that "The Art of Death" is available in paperback from KDP for $12. An e-book version is forthcoming. This new release has been re-edited and formatted, making it even better than the original.
