I'm John, author of the queer supernatural thriller THE BRIGHT LANDS, which was named a best a debut of 2020 by CrimeReads and BookPage, was called a great summer read by Rolling Stone and is that one thriller with the messed-up ending that got your mom's book club canceled. I've also written NO ROAD HOME and THE MIDNIGHT KNOCK, which are also pretty messed up.

Under my pen name Jack Friday, I'm the author of KILLER VIBES, the first mystery to star Peter Key, a bisexual stoner in Austin who also happens to be the laziest private investigator in Texas. The Peter Key mysteries are much less scary than my John Fram novels (hence the pen name) but they still feature the same tight plotting and twisty suspense of my previous novels.
