“The monarch butterfly is amazing. It migrates from one end of North America to the other, never losing its path through the Canadian forest, through the Midwest back to Michoacán, Mexico. It always knows where it comes from and how to get back there, regardless of the miles between where it flies and how far it travels from home. Kind of like my mom and dad. They came all the way from Mexico to the Midwest, and then they had me in a little leaf.”
Margarita Longoria, Living Beyond Borders: Growing up Mexican in America

“You say I don’t belong because it is your choice to make”
