Neville Blackwood is a former senior police detective who retired after 30 years in British policing as a Detective Superintendent and Police Adviser to the Foreign Office. His career included major crime, homicide, undercover operations and organised crime. Since retiring, he has worked internationally, advising and training investigators in many countries around the world, including the Maldives, Jamaica, Iraq and Somalia. His debut novel, Covert, draws on that extensive investigative experience to explore the pressures, loyalties and moral uncertainties of undercover policing.
