Ylva Bunch (previously Amanda Ylva) was born and raised in southwest Michigan, where she studied Environmental Sustainability and Geography at Western Michigan University. Between her studies and writing pursuits, she enjoys a pastime of gardening with native wildflowers, backpacking around Michigan, and hiking at local nature preserves.
