Salus Saint is a debut novelist exploring the collision between artificial
intelligence and human compassion.

Born in Zagreb, Croatia, into a family of engineers and doctors, Saint grew
up watching technology and human emotion in constant negotiation. Every page
of The August Bicycle reflects this inheritance—the question of who decides
when machines are trustworthy and what it costs when they're not.

Saint spent five years researching medical decision-making, algorithm bias,
and the ethical dilemmas facing modern healthcare. The August Bicycle emerged
from this investigation into what happens when precision competes with
compassion, when a grandfather's love faces an algorithm's logic.
