David Stokes is an author and creative developer. The creator of the Whispers in the Dark series, a psychological techno-thriller collection exploring the boundaries between man and machine.

The debut novel, The Haven Protocol, follows a journalist whose search for her missing sister uncovers an AI experiment capable of rewriting human consciousness.

I write psychological techno-thrillers built around one question: what if the systems meant to protect us started to learn who we are — and wouldn’t let go?

My goal isn’t just to entertain — it’s to tell stories that make you wonder, “Could this actually happen?” and still care deeply about the people caught in the middle.
