My name is Galea Rain. I just graduated Northern Illinois University with a degree in English. While in school I finished many short stories in between working on my first novel which is part of a series called Changing Rains. I mostly write fantasy, horror, poetry, and young adult fiction.

On top of writing I also am an editor and owner of a self-publishing company called Celtic Knot Books where we provide authors with editing, formatting, and cover art services for authors looking to self-publish their works.I also write for a blog called Red Pen Reviews.

Outside of the literary world I enjoy tabletop roleplaying and cross-stitching. Hanging out with friends and going on adventures; makes life more interesting and inspiring.

Why Do We Write?

This is a question I've been asked a couple of times. I also wondered more on the question when a class I took in college addressed why we read. I cannot speak for other authors but I can speak for myself. However I am intrigued to know the answer from other authors.
