Andrew Brown is a UK-based author with a long-standing interest in Cold War history, espionage, and the psychological cost of living in divided worlds.

Born in 1966 in the Northeast of England, he spent over thirty years working as a technology consultant, travelling widely and gaining a deep appreciation for human behaviour, power, and the quiet compromises people make to navigate complex systems. He now lives in Staffordshire, where he writes, paints, and walks his dogs.

His debut novel, *In the Cold*, began more than a decade ago during a period of cancer treatment. What started as something raw and urgent was later rewritten and refined, allowing the story to take the shape it was always meant to. The current edition is fully revised and ...more
