The Coup, the Confusion, and the Kid’s POV
When I was a child, my country went through a coup d’état. Not the cinematic kind with tanks rolling down avenues, but the quieter and arguably more unsettling kind: borders closing, radio silence, anxious parents, and an entire neighbourhood behaving as if life might snap at any moment.
When you’re a kid, you don’t understand geopolitics — you only understand mood.
