Jenny-Anne Fennell holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Exeter, where the first draft of Mute Swans began life as a dissertation. Completed years later, the novel reflects her love of quiet stories, layered relationships, and the subtle power of second chances.

Her writing is often described as rich with warmth, wit, and emotional depth, drawing inspiration from family, the past, and the shifting landscapes of British society.

When not writing, Jenny-Anne enjoys crafting, spending time with her family, and exploring her home county of Devon.
