Tom Cunningham (37) is a writer, designer, and lifelong traveller from Northern NSW, Australia. He’s the founder of Tropical Type, a globally renowned type design studio, and a proud father of two.

Driven by an insatiable thirst for creativity, Tom is constantly making — whether it’s music, surfboards, visual art, or typefaces. When he’s not in the thick of a new project, you’ll find him chasing inspiration in the ocean or the mountains, immersed in the beauty of the natural world.
