Fellow authors: how much coffee do you drink while writing? And do you think it affects what you write?In my case, I was reviewing my novel and realised that 'coffee' found its way into my book in all sorts of ways. And I don't mean spilled onto my manuscript, I mean as in made it into the content!! It was there as plot devices, as character traits, as locations and as backgrounds. Which made me wonder whether I'd stumbled across a narrative motif. Or was I just a victim of society's latest craze, coffee culture?
