Nabiha Irna is a literary artist whose work explores the fragile spaces between love, memory, and loss. Her debut collection, Her Name Was Always August, gathers quietly devastating love stories that linger in the soft ache of what remains unsaid. Known for her poetic precision and emotional restraint, Nabiha writes with a voice that drifts between presence and absence, crafting narratives rooted in silence, longing, and the weight of memory.

Drawing on a deep love for nonlinear storytelling, symbolic detail, and introspective depth, her writing speaks to readers who find beauty in quiet intensity. Outside of writing, she reflects on forgotten letters, watches trains depart, and collects moments that feel like dreams.

A place where a man might follow a cat and end up inside someone else’s memory. Where loss isn’t something to fix — just something to wander through.

What would I do there?
Maybe I’d sit in a small jazz bar underground, drinking something warm, watching the snowfall through a window that isn’t really there. I’d listen to strangers speak in metaphors. I’d write letters I’d never send. I’d follow a sound no one else hears.

And maybe, just maybe, I’d find the version of myself who never let go of that one impossible love.(less)
