Roberto Scribner grew up in Brooklyn after moving from Brasilia at age eight. He is a husband and stay-at-home dad to his two children and his rescue dog, Athena.

He received his Bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University, and has gone on to earn multiple Master's degrees.

Roberto is a retired Marine officer with five combat deployments. When he isn't writing, he hikes, bikes, kayaks, and practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Roberto's experiences in combat and living abroad inspire him to write stories that explore love between the traumatized, the power of found families, the heroism of the damned, and the meaning of hope in a time when that feeling is in short supply.

Beware! That promise is an invitation to surrender.

Only you can fix yourself. Those offering to do so seek to dominate you and profit from your pain.

Only the labor of your own hands can mold a life you love. Yo Read more of this blog post »
