My murder mystery books - YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE I CAN TRUST and its sequel THIS GUY'S THE LIMIT - are based on my observations and experiences over a 30-year career as a lawyer. My most recent book, SAME ROAD, DIFFERENT PATHS, released in 2025, is based on a journal I began keeping as a teenager and takes the reader on the adventures I lived over the decades, including hitchhiking across the Great American Southwest, living in an artist commune, living at a Navajo reservation, living a cowboy life, sailing a small sailboat to tropical islands, falling in and out of love, being a part of the 70s California music scene, and traveling the world.

The short chapters made this a fast, easy read, but the story just seemed too implausible as well as the way the characters responded to events. Both the writing style and the story itself seem more suited to a YA genre than adult fiction.

Excellent! Another fascinating tale in a series of heartfelt stories by this author. Each one nicely done, and each able to stand alone. That being said, this one may be the best ... but read the entire series and decide for yourself.
