Samanta Echevarría was born and raised in the beautiful colonial city of Querétaro, Mexico. She is a graduate of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, ITESM, Querétaro campus, and has a master’s degree in economics from Western Illinois University, in the United States. Between 1999 and 2000, she studied economics at the Università di Pisa, Italy, an institution recognized for having had Galileo Galilei among its students. Since 2005 she has been a member of the Spanish faculty in different educational institutions in the United States, including Augustana College, St. Ambrose University, Blackhawk College and Rivermont Collegiate, where she taught Spanish and Hispanic culture for more than fifteen years.
