We have deadlines to meet, word counts to make. My advice is, when a scene isn't going well, work on something else for a while and let your backbrain work on the problem. Always be writing, editing, thinking, planning, or gathering new material.(less)

We had a pretty good idea who was in the pool of suspects, but could not pin it on any one person. This might be a good YA or MG, something along the lines of Encyclopedia Brown, not quite dramatic enough for a Nancy Drew.(less)
