The Philadelphia Diocese and the Metropolitan of Philadelphia, His Eminence Bartholomew ArhondonisToday, I’m delighted to share my book The Philadelphia Diocese and the Metropolitan of Philadelphia, His Eminence Bartholomew Arhondonis.
This work explores the history of the Holy Diocese of Philadelphia and the early ministry of His Eminence Bartholomew Arhondonis, long before he became Ecumenical Patriarch. Through historical research, archival material, and pastoral reflection, the book presents a clear picture of his leadership, his character, and his impact on the Orthodox Church.
Readers will find biographical background, the story of the Diocese of Philadelphia, and selected accounts from the ministry of Metropolitan Bartholomew—moments that shaped his journey toward the Patriarchate.
My hope is that this book offers knowledge, inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for the life and mission of this remarkable hierarch of the Orthodox Church.
If you’re interested in Orthodox history, Eastern Christianity, or the spiritual legacy of His Eminence Bartholomew, this book will speak to you.
Thank you for reading—and I look forward to connecting with you here on Goodreads.
I’m an author with a focus on Orthodox theology, Church history, and Greek culture. Writing for me is both scholarship and service. I’m glad to meet fellow readers and writers here.
