Meet the author
Ms. Lucka and her husband Tom live in Southern California and have been married for over forty years. They have two adult children and six grandchildren. Ms. Lucka had a thirty-year career in the legal field and holds an Associate of Science degree in Corporate Paralegal Studies. She also studied interior design.
After retiring, Ms. Lucka for fun and exercise picked up playing nine-hole golf with the ladies and lunch or happy hour with friends. She volunteered in various meaningful causes in the Coachella Valley, including fundraisers for medical diseases, golfing events, music and film festivals, and art shows. Active in her community, she was involved with Neighborhood Watch, serving on special committees and volunteering in Meet the author

Ms. Lucka's father served in the military and lived overseas most of her childhood. In the absence of a working television, she and sisters spent their free time creatively.
After her diagnosis of Parkinson's disease in 2002, Ms. Lucka reclaimed her passion for creative writing. She began to write poetry and kept a journal about her experiences with her newly diagnosed medical condition. In 2012, to share her experiences with others, she published "A Thorn in My Rose Garden.” She wrote for her daughter's wedding, "On Your Wedding Day," published in a book of poetry "Collective Whispers."
Ms. Lucka recently published an expanded Edition of “A Thorn in My Rose Garden, a Woman’s Journal Living with Parkinson’s, with a new cover in anticipation of the sequel “Thorns in Our Rose Garden, a Couple’s Journey Living with Parkinson ‘s” in early 2023. This marks twenty years with Parkinson's disease for Ms. Lucka.
Ms. Lucka has made writing her hobby. It has given her a chance to express herself and use her imagination. There is no schedule to follow, timetable, or deadlines to meet. She is free to work on her projects at her leisure and when her health allows. Ms. Lucka published her first historical romance novel loosely based on her parents. "The Women of St. Germain: Tour of Duty" (2016) is a story about a French woman during World War II and the German occupation of France. and published a second romance novel, "Finding Love Again, The Next Generation of Women of Saint Germain."
Corinne likes to read, cook, paint landscapes, and spend time with her friends and family when she is not writing.
