Giovanni Sena is a university academic studying the physics and biology of plant organisms. Born and raised in Milan (Italy), he studied and worked for fifteen years in New York City, and in 2012 moved to London where he now lives with his wife and three children.

His interests span from theoretical physics to molecular genetics, and he authored several scientific publications. Since his childhood, he has always been an enthusiastic fan of science-fiction, with a special attachment to classic authors such as Asimov. Pushing Planets is his debut novel and the natural continuation of this passion.
