Ryk Parrish is the author of South Ozone, a crime novel set in the working-class Indo-Caribbean neighborhoods of Queens, New York.

His stories focus on the people who operate around the edges — the connectors, middlemen, and neighborhood figures who keep things moving while trying to stay one step removed from the consequences.

Much of South Ozone is drawn from real environments and lived experience, exploring the quiet calculations, favors, and introductions that shape street-level economies most people never see.

He is interested in the tension between survival, loyalty, and risk — and the small decisions that slowly become irreversible.

Parrish lives in the United States and is currently working on future stories set in the same world.
