I learned to read from Morgan Freeman. Yup, you read that right. Morgan Freeman taught me to read. Of course he was Easy Reader and I was watching the Electric Company. Morgan Freeman 100% has credit for starting me on my literacy journey. He also has no idea that he is the reason I can read.

Along the way I learned to write and at eight years old, I submitted a hand written manuscript to Random House for publication. I was a very indignant eight year old when I received my first rejection letter.

Somehow, I managed to keep two small humans alive. They are now grown, one has tiny humans of his own that he is now responsible for. I have been a teacher for too many years to count, I am definitely not the math teacher.
