British by birth, Pauline Wiles is now a contented resident of California, although she admits to occasional yearnings for afternoon tea and historic homes.

Pauline's debut novel, Saving Saffron Sweeting, reached the quarter final of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award. It would depend on whether you've been to England before, whether you've already seen London, and how much time you have. But top of mind would be Cambridge or Oxford (probably not both, they're very similar!), plus Bath and a couple of the Cotswold villages. These places all feel very English, have incredible history and can be explored fairly easily on foot. The downside is that they can all get pretty busy with visitors.

Hi B.B., I was born in Cambridge, lived in Aberdeen as a kid, then was working in London before moving to California. Parents still live in Cambridge so I get back fairly often.
