My Writing Process
I have an art degree, so drawing metaphors work well for me. I also did A LOT of theater.
My first draft feels a lot like a gesture drawing.You can’t edit a blank page, and I want to get all the parts of the story down. They’re usually almost entirely dialog and simple blocking. I blame my theater background.
I’m a discovery writer (“pantser”), which means I don’t outline. “Plotting vs. Pantsing”

Yeah, I totally missed the point of book 1. 🤣 So, the cliffhanger ending is kind of a pet peeve, so it lost a star for that. But… this one was more my jam. Yeah. Child monster? More lore? Yes, please. |

is starting Sword Catcher: I picked this up because I’m reading more Jewish books. It’s definitely that, but despite being half-finished I’m not sure how I feel about it.
(No really if you’re even slightly in the know the Ashkar are about as subtle as a brick to the head. I picked up the book for that, but… this is… less transformed… than I expected.)
