| The author shares a glimpse into the world of a small family farm in Iowa. This world longer exists so it is a tremendously valuable book of memories. I want to read more books by Mildred but she wrote this late in life and is no longer living. | |

| It was like two books in one. Part 1 a nice book about a girl growing up. Part 2 a war diary just like boys enjoy reading. The layout of this book is different from anything I heave ever encountered. She is a talented writer. | |

Just a question about Harper Lee's only novel, not the movie adapation - what about a high school musical adaptation? Jethro Tull's "Wind Up" and John Mayer's "Daughters" are my first two suggestions for a musical adaptation of "To Kill a Mockingbird" complete with food in the styule of a Dinner Theater in the Assembly Room at 283 Lafayette - should be educational, of course.
