Announcement: I am NOW ACCEPTING REVIEW REQUESTS FROM INDIE AUTHORS at A Line a Day: lineaday.blogspot.com --- I plan to review independently published novels (with perhaps a sprinkle of non fiction thrown in) on a regular basis when the calendar turns to 2017. No genres barred, which is not to say that I will read anything/everything suggested to me. I may take a pass on most for I intend to be picky, my selection criteria based strictly on what sounds like "my kind of book". I have pretty DIVERSE tastes in writing so if you're not sure if yours will be my cup of tea, take a shot. In addition to a synopsis I'll want to see a brief excerpt from your book to help me decide. It first pubbed quite a few years ago at ChickenBones: A Journal for Literary & Artistic African-American Themes. With so much tension lately between police departments and the African American community, leading to athletes sitting out the National Anthem and many protestations of "when is this going to get better?!", the time felt right to highlight this particular tale of mine. R.I.P. Terence Crutcher, the latest in a list of victims that has grown far too long.
