I had a rather productive day. Hoping to repeat that process tomorrow. Of the two stories I hoped to finish before DragonCon, it looks like only one will make it, although the other has made some significant progress and I should finish it after the con. I've got a lot of errands ti run tomorrow so time to call it a night and catch some zzzzzzz's. Sweet dreams, my friends.

I had a fairly decent writing night. The words did not flow so well during the day, but the muse finally kicked into gear later in the evening to add almost a couple thousand words. Not bad. I'm hoping to improve on that number tomorrow. I also did some writing-related work so it was a full day. If only I had known back when I started that juggling was a requirement for being a writer, I would have practiced more. Ha! Ha! Sweet dreams! #amwriting

Bill Black, publisher of AC Comics posted this on Facebook today and it blew my mind. As you may know, I wrote a novel featuring the AC Comics character, Nightveil for Pro Se Productions, who has licensed them. That book should be out in November, I believe. Any time I write a licensed character, there is a bit of nervousness that sets in. These are the people who know, and in some cases, created the character(s) so they know them well. I don't want to be the guy who writes them poorly so that nervousness I mentioned sets in. Then, I saw this...

Nightveil is a character that I have been itching to write ever since I read her first adventure back in the mid-80's when I was reading Americomics in high school. It's taken almost 30 years, but I finally got the chance. Proof positive that dreams do come true. Now, I keep waiting on that Fantastic Four, Captain America, and Thor writing dream to come true. Any day now, I'm sure, right Marvel? Ha! Ha!

Abraham Snow, still recovering from his injuries, meets up with Elizabeth Walker, his former handler who is still active in a shadow spy agency that doesn't officially exist. As Snow is finding out a surprising secret and identifying a crucial dead body, a gang of data thieves is breaking into the same skyscraper building for the unrelated heist of a computer server. The heist quickly becomes related, though, as Snow and Walker get caught in the crossfire. The data thieves sure as hell picked the wrong day for their burglary! Another fast-paced thriller in the action-packed Snow series.
