I added a couple thousand words to the ol' story tonight. Not a bad bit. Speeding toward the finish line now that I've finally pushed through the story problem that was holding me back. A first for me, I actually wrote from the POV of an ant tonight. Odd, but interesting. Time to push away for the evening. A little TV then off to bed. I'm planning to add more to this thing tomorrow. Sweet dreams.

My Friday was pretty busy with non-writing errands and other assorted odd 'n ends, but I did get in some writing time tonight, which was good. Making slow progress on one story (I really don't know why it's not coming together better) and so I split time between that story and another one due after. Marvel's Daredevil season 3 was absolutely phenomenal. This is, hands down, my favorite season of all the Marvel Netflix shows based on bits and pieces from 'Born Again' and 'Guardian Devil' among other notable DD stories. Strong writing, engaging cast, and powerhouse performances from Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio. I'm ready to go back and rewatch from season 1. Great stuff. Highly recommended. #Daredevil

I picked up the first two trades of Scalped by Jason Aaron and R.M. Guera and thoroughly enjoyed both. This is good, adult crime drama from DC Comics' Vertigo line. I need to pick up volume 3. Recommended for fans of crime and thriller comics and shows like Longmire or Yellowstone. Not for the kiddies.
I was asked in another thread what is my most recent line of dialogue in my current work-in-progress. I am sad to report that the Creating Comic Books Workshop that was scheduled for Saturday, October 27th at the Decatur Writers Studio has been cancelled. Not enough attendees signed up for the workshop so DWS had to pull the plug. Thanks to those who did sign up and to the Decatur Writers Studio for the opportunity. I'm sorry we won't get to do the workshop. Hopefully, the opportunity will present itself again down the road.

Learn the steps to take your comic book creations from idea to ready to print. Comic book writer/artist Bobby Nash will take you through the steps involved in creating comic books from the plot, character development, the pitch, the script, pencils, inks, letters, colors, edits, production, to print, and more in this intensive hands-on workshop. We’ll also look at the multiple methods of getting your comic book stories in front of audiences in today’s market.
In this class, you will learn industry terminology, get hands on training formatting comic book scripts, learn how writers, artists, and editors work together to get the book to press on time, and explore publishing options that exist today.
The workshop is open to writers, artists, and storytellers of all levels.

Another busy day. Got off to a slow start since I slept in today, which was rather nice after a full day yesterday on the go. It's been a hectic week, last week. We buried a relative and received bad news on another health-wise, which has slowed things down a bit, but I am working to get back on track (I never seem to be able to stay on that track, do I?). I added over 1,000 words to a novella that's almost done and I got the next chapter of my serialized novel, SUICIDE BOMB uploaded and ready for Patreon on Tuesday. I've been at the desk hard(-ish) at work all day. I just pushed back and realized that, busy though I have been, I've accomplished very little. It's the writing equivalent of "I got a rock" and I hate it when that happens. Time for a dinner break then back to work.
