Attempting to KEEP CALM AND KEEP READING! I might be asking for new Kindle donations on GR before it's all said and done with ;)!

Ah, yes - chapter 12. I get a lot of grief for that chapter, but in the end, I still think it was necessary. Caleb is a bad boy! ;) Thanks for reading...and not throwing.
XOXO,
CJ

It says this: "That book is ineligible. Please try again! has no original publication year set."
:( I think you deserve to win something...

Thanks for the Agent Reed love! He's in his early 30's, so this one will be a bit older. I'm aiming for Dark, but less ethically challenging, LOL. Hope you love it when it comes out.

That WOULD be awesome. I'm an indie, so that might take me a bit, lol. No plans to translate to other languages at the moment, but perhaps I could look into it next year.
Thank you for supporting my work. ;)
Hi Puplegirl549!

Hah! Thanks, Bet..."
YAY, for an Agent Reed story! I really wanted to read more about him.
Thanks for adding me :)

I have a question for you. The thing is that I'm raving about the Dark Duet to my friends that live in latin america, and they so want to read them, any chance that your books are gonna be translated to spanish? That'd be awesoooome!!
xo!!

Hah! Thanks, Beth. I do plan on writing a story about Agent Reed. It won't be AS dark, but still pretty seedy. xoxo, CJ

I don't know either! LOL Thank you.

Thank you, Amanda! I can't even tell you how much all this has affected me. The very idea that I've changed the way someone views the world is THE biggest compliment one can give an author.
The Dark Duet was a labor of love and while I don't know if I have it in me to create another book that will live up to it, I know this...I am sure as hell gonna try.
Thank you,
CJ

Wow! Now that's a compliment! Thank you.
CJ

WILL DO! ;)

Wow, Sarah, thank you so much. I've said it before, but this entire journey as a writer has been amazing and I never saw it coming. I wrote a book. I doubted people would read it, or understand it, let alone love it. That so many people have sent me emails about it, or become my friends on Facebook is truly one of the most gratifying experiences of my life. I'll never stop being grateful. Thank you.
I am currently working on the sequel Seduced in the Dark for release September 2012. In the meantime, I do have some chapters out there and I welcome everyone to give me feedback. I'm incredibly active online with my fans and other readers and writers, so please don't be shy about friending me if you're so inclined and are not offended easily.
xoxo,
CJ

First 90% of "Captive in the Dark" I wanted to jump into the story and beat the crap out of Caleb and the last 10% I cried especially when she ask him if there is more torture in her future, and if so, that she would rather die, and if he could put her out of her misery fast.
About a month ago I read Anne Rice's "The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty" it has a similar subject matter as your book, I could not finish it because the main character would not fight. I am sure if I had finished that book and continued on with the rest of the trilogy I would have seen a change in the character, but it became so frustrating. With Livvie even though she is falling in love with Caleb, she has not lost herself and she keeps on enduring what is happening to her.
All I know is the next two months are going to be torture.
Please keep on writing you have an amazing talent!!
Sarah
