"Second Chances is beautifully written from beginning to end and I would recommend it to anyone who believes in giving those we love another opportunity to make it right... If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. I can honestly say that I rate this book as one of my top five all time favorites." sandymHoly hell - it's reviews like this that humble me. Thank you so much.

Second Chances, my debut solo novel, will be out on October 17th from Dreamspinner.Mark Jennings is at a crossroads. His finance job in the Atlanta nonprofit scene stresses him out, his mother is dying, and his relationship with Brian Jacobs has crashed and burned. He needs a distraction, some way to relax, and a massage seems like just the thing. He never expected his massage therapist, Antonio Roberto, to become his best friend.
Despite their differences—Antonio is a divorced single father—the two men forge a firm friendship that weathers Mark’s reconciliation with Brian and Antonio’s questionable taste in women. Over the years, Antonio remains constant in his support, though others in Mark’s life come and go through a revolving door.
When a young boy runs away from the group home where he works, Mark finds another door opening. Through it all he holds on to the things his loved ones taught him—about family, about friends and lovers, about life and death. Most importantly, he realizes that sometimes the greatest gift of all is a second chance.
Also, tentative release date for my novel "Second Chances", with Dreamspinner Press, is October 17th. Nervously awaiting it - happy happy joy joy!!!Tom
Please check out my collaboration with Laura Harner, "Deep Blues Goodbye". Set in New Orleans, it's an erotic urban fantasy centered around vamps, weres and murder. Thanks!

Here's a little bit about the book, which is tentatively set for October release...
Mark Jennings is wound up tightly. His finance job in the Atlanta nonprofit scene is stressing him out, his mother is dying, and his relationship with Brian Jacobs has crashed and burned. What he needs is a distraction and a way to relax. A massage. Antonio Roberto is divorced, a father, and an excellent masseur. Despite their differences, the two men forge a friendship that weathers Mark’s reconciliation with Brian and Antonio’s less than stellar taste in women.
When a young boy runs away from the group home where Mark works, it sets off a series of events with consequences none of them can foresee. Over the years Mark learns about choosing your family, about friends and lovers, about life and death. Most important of all, he realizes that sometimes the greatest gift of all is a second chance.

His style inspires me. I fell in love with 'The Summer Tree' and re-read it every couple of years.

Read Brandon Shire's "Listening to Dust" this weekend. While O don't have the review finished and up, this book moved me in do many ways. I read it with a lump in my throat, and still feel that way days later.Give it a try.
Oh, I want to go read Guy Gavriel Kay's Fionavar Tapestry again now. The mood hits me every few years. It's like an addiction.

I'm terribly disappointed in this witch hunt against TJ Klune, and want to express my support for him and Dreamspinner Press. I have been fortunate to read a good many books in the past couple of years, and you will find many of the books I review are from there. It's no accident - they produce, month after month, some of the more compelling reads and have featured many of the best and most talented writers I have had the pleasure to read and review.
TJ, I appreciate your talent and love "Bear, Otter and the Kid" and "Burn".
DsP, please continue the good and hard work you guys do.
I would offer one word of advice - before judging, seek out the facts for yourself. Don't trust what someone, even me, says as the final authority. I didn't.
