Hi Abby!

I'd heard that too but don't take them that way at all. If anything, I think they set out to expose our misogynistic culture. I mean, yes, there is violence against women and misogyny is rife but the people perpetuating it are framed as idiotic, immature or downright dangerous. There are plenty of strong female characters who don't conform to traditional gender stereotypes and their voices are not relegated to asides about their relationships with the male protagonists.

Overall, I like them. They're not astounding but very readable and interesting.
