I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's. My first novel is an unusual murder mystery entitled: FORBIDDEN STEPS.

Thanks for marking Below Sunlight to read. I love Franzen's writing. I'm almost done with The Corrections and it is definitely one of those books that I can't put down and wish would never end. There is nothing outright glamorous about the family he writes about but his style and the way he puts words together is amazing. Its the kind of book that makes me question everything I've ever written. I would recommend moving it to the very top of your list along with his newest book, Freedom.
