Your writing is superb, you absolutely deserve it. Keep up the fantastic work! Can't wait for book 2 :)

Tabitha McGowan Over 1,000 sales this month! I am a *very* happy Tabitha, and immensely grateful to those people who have bought, read and reviewed The Tied Man. I am raising a glass of cold beer to your very good health (whilst writing the sequel, naturally!)

Tabitha McGowan I've just had an email giving me more details about collecting our box of books to give away for World Book Night! It was actually my 12-year old who nominated us, but she needed an adult sockpuppet account so she could apply, and also a car and willing volunteer in order to collect our goodies. Lovely to know that there's a generation coming up who still cares and can get excited about reading :D

J Tabitha:

We need some help over on the Captive in the Dark discussion thread. Believe it or not (ha!ha!) I have had some discussions about "The Tied Man." Wanda at, I believe, Post 42 would love to read TTM but she has a Nook and it is not available through Barnes and Noble (can't believe it). So, I told her that I would attempt to get ahold of you and see what your suggestions might be. You can either reply to me or through the discussion thread (I told her she might see a comment from you).

Thank you so much for your passionate and totally amazing support. I know that this book isn't for everyone, but the reaction from those who have enjoyed it is more than I could have hoped for.

I have such respect and warmth for those readers (and those who read it and didn't like - that's one of the quirky joys of fiction!), and the people who are taking such time and care with reviews that make me laugh with sheer joy on a daily basis. I wanted to write a book for smart, geeky women - and the men who are brave enough - who appreciate the stories that hide in shadowy corners; it appears that I might have just managed that!

As an independent author who makes a peculiar little sound of joy, not unlike that of a happy guinea-pig, every time my sales increase by another copy, I cannot express how grateful I am for the people who love to read, and have chosen to read The Tied Man.

I still don't have a title for #2 - I promise that the moment it hits me, I'll let you know! T x

Tabitha McGowan Soraya Naomi wrote: "Hi Tabitha, is there a sequel to The Tied Man? I would like to update the info here on Goodreads, because now it seems like this book is a stand alone. I know there isn't a cliffhanger and heard it..."

Hi, Soraya! Thank you for the query. Okay, there *will* be a second book, but it isn't a sequel, in that there's no cliffhanger, or need to buy a second book to get a HEA (of sorts - I write dark; it's my version of a HEA, anyway!).

Towards the end of the writing process I realised I couldn't write a simple epilogue to TTM, and I really felt there was a second story with the same protagonists, but a whole new plot. There will be two major locations - Spain, and Dublin - and an introduction to Finn's wider family, and also the horror that is the O'Halloran clan!

I really wanted to let Finn and Lilith grow and heal and discover, and learn to deal with the demons that they both still have.

Ultimately I love writing for both Finn and Lilith, and I wasn't quite ready to let the pair of them go *just* yet!

Warmest regards,

Tabitha x

Kristin Yay! Thanks for the friend-vite! The vocab I'd great. My husband may have been appalled but it rolled off the tongue nicely. ;)
