Savannah I definitely know how it is to be lost in time. I have often said the past is the home I long for.

Richard Fulgham Don Quixote (Penguin Classics) Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra

My review
rating: 5 of 5 stars
By some mystical or mundane process the "right" author comes to me at each stage of my life. Thus in my twenties came Hermann Hesse; in my thirties came Graham Greene; in my forties came Nietzsche; in my fifties came Victor Hugo; and now at sixty I have found -- or has found me -- Cervantes. Like millions of others, I have found myself in Don Quixote del le Mancha, the Knight of the Sorry Face. How absurd my quests -- yet how noble and brave they seem to me. I know other people, those, uh, "real" people who see me every day, taking out the garbage, walking my dog, smoking my cigars while lounging on my deck in the sun -- they see me as nothing, a weird old guy with nothing to say. Like Don Quixote, however, I am not in my time -- I am journeying through a great adventure full of monsters and damsels and wise kings and my brother knights! I tip my lance -- I charge! Come Sancho, sally forth!
