George I got my copy of Equal to the Earth and have had time to read it. Very impressive work. I particularly liked the Fire Island series at the end and specially the last stanza of 7. Fire Island. I guess that's what we all hope for. And the poem Floor Tiling where the “two designs coexisted.“ Each of your books has seemed to me to be a step ahead, a progression; more concentrated and therefore increasingly interesting to read. So I enjoyed Equal to the Earth very much and am waiting for the next.

Jee Koh Thanks, Abha, for your kind comment on my ghazals. What is your native tongue?

Phayvanh Thanks! This is helping me to understand the book better. It's our book club selection this month, and I'm trying to like it.

I can't tell beyond your three stars whether you liked it or not, but perhaps it doesn't matter so much. It's a good book. It just prbably isn't for me.
