message 52: by Diane

Diane Hi, Ed--I missed your book release celebration. I've been busy writing--just poetry, but it takes up a lot of my time. I'm trying to get a book put together, which is harder than I thought it would be since I have poems that I've written ranging from 1985 to this week. The hardest part is deciding which ones are worth publishing and which ones should be chucked.

Also, I'm helping to plan a big poetry reading in conjunction with the Kansas sesquicentennial. There aren't enough hours in the day.

message 51: by Joe

Jan Wow, I'd nearly forgotten the DetecToday chats! It seems like those were SO long ago. They were a lot of fun, though. I'm not too active there nowadays, although I did pop in recently to see if anyone knew whatever became of Stephen Greenleaf.

Bonnie God's Gift
Little baby on the hay,
soon there'll be another day
when nails shall pierce Your hands
and feet as You provide our sin's defeat.
Risen Jesus on the throne,
we lift our praise to You alone-
for You're the gift that we receive
the moment that our hearts believe.

Jack Enjoy the Black Dahlia Ed. It's hauntingly disturbing, but it's also probably my favorite crime novel.

message 20: by Kelly

Kelly Hey Ed! Thanks for the add. I really enjoyed reading The Black Dahlia, and I hope you'll enjoy it too.

message 18: by Scott

Scott Thanks for the add!!!

Most of my reading material is good. I have pretty diverse interests so I can get into reading just about anything. Lately, it seems I have not had the time I would like to sit down and get into a good book. Hopefully that will change here soon.
