When a cover image is added during a book edit your system immediately leaves the edit mode and deletes any other edits that have been made that weren't previously saved. Is this intentional or is it a bug? It's quite irritating to me, so I hope it's a bug that can (and will) be fixed.

It looks like for some reason we had only fixed it for the edit author page. Guess we weren't thinking hard that day! Book page fix is coming right up in our next release (in 10 min).
Eeek! Now I cannot edit a cover-less book -- it keeps insisting that the (nonexitent) cover image:
1 error prohibited this book from being saved
There were problems with the following fields:
* Photo is not a valid type or is too large
I also had a problem with this error on a book which had a cover, but was apparently not registering as having one on the edit page. I was able to fix it by first saving the cover image and then re-uploading it when I did the edits.
I had the same problem, but the book had a cover already in the database. I went back, saved the cover to my computer, re-uploaded it, then edited the book and it worked. But I've edited about 6 books since then and haven't had the error come up again.
I'm also having this problem, but there are no covers on Goodreads, Amazon, or Google Image Search for the book. It doesn't appear to be available at my public library either, so I don't know when I'll be able to scan the cover.
I'm having this problem too. I finally got L. Frank Baum removed as author of PORTABLE JAMES JOYCE and James Joyce listed as author, but I had to go find a photo of the book and upload it in order to make that happen. Trying to fix the author "L. Frank and John R. Neill (Illustrator) Baum" as author of "The Land of Oz : The Further Adventures of The Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman" (ISBN 0528826956), which is how the book is listed on Amazon, has left me flummoxed.
I'm sure Otis will fix this eventually, but in the meantime I've found it convenient to just upload the Goodreads "book cover image not on hand" image for the cover image. Do this by locating a book with the "book cover image not on hand" image, right-click on the image, choose the "save image as" option (for PCs ... I don't know what it is for MACs) and save the image on your hard drive. Then you can upload this image whenever needed. I hope this is OK with Otis as a temporary fix.
