Kelly (kelly-is-reading) Hi everyone :) My name is Kelly, i'm 24 from the UK. I read a huge variety of books, crime and mystery among them. Recently read Larsson, and i'm a fan of Agatha Christie and John Grisham, but i need to find more in this genre to read, hence why i'm here! Excited to read books with everyone, although i might not have much time for it until September, i'm hoping to be a part of this group.

Also, i'll just post this here in case any of you can help me out with it:
I'm currently doing a dissertation on Social Reading for my postgraduate (i'm studying Publishing at University)and i have a survey up here - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3TNNPVW. If you have 5-10 minutes to fill it out and you live in the UK, it would really help me out, as it just occured to me you're all in my target audience - avid readers, and you all use social tools like Goodreads. All responses are anonymous and just help me with my scholarly research. Thanks!

Welcome Kelly, I'm sure you'll find mountains of great recommendations for all types of mystery/crime/thriller books here.

I'm in the US so I cannot participate in your survey but best of luck with your dissertation.

Richard (richard-snow) | 18 comments Hi, Kelly, I'm wondering how you, or others, found le Carre's more recent books, like 'Our Kind of Traitor." I thought the end of that book was quite unclear: I didn't know who had killed the character whose plane crashed. Did others feel confused also?

Bill Welcome to the group, Kelly. I hope you enjoy the discussions and find new ideas for mystery writers. Unfortunately, I'm also not from the UK. Good luck with the survey.

It's not one of le Carre's I've read yet, Richard. I do prefer his earlier books, but have enjoyed The Constant Gardener and others.

Hi Richard, You should post this question in the Favorite Authors folder. I think more people would see it.
