Thomas Duder (thomasduder) Hey there! As I stated in a different thread, I'm actually here to also promote my own novella series. :D Being an action junkie, I tend to place that in everything I write and hope you guys are entertained as much as my other readers are~!

If anything, I'm also a firm believer in "try before you buy," and you can read 'em for free and "mostly unedited" over at my litblog, The Pen Is My Sword - http://www.thepenismysword.com

I currently have Taboo 1 up over there, which I haven't formatted yet.

Taboo 0 Cliché of Memories (The Generalist, #1) by Thomas Duder is up for sale right now (Amazon hasn't caught up yet, ugh...still lists it as freakin' $2.99 when they should both be at $1.50), and Taboo 2 is unexpectedly longer than either of the first two...so I'm gonna split it up into a single arc with two novellas. :D

Suffice it to say, it kinda caught me off-guard.

Anyway, the blurb for the series followed by the actual links~!

----------------------

It's an action-adventure urban fantasy set in a near-future Neo-L.A. chock full of all kindsa fun. Here's the blurb for the series in general, followed by Taboo 0, the first story.

Action. Adventure. Fist to face. The Generalist is a hard-hitting ride through the Los Angeles of tomorrow, stuffed to the brim with monster-gene humans turned cannibal, Artifacts of enormous strength warping the very fabric of reality itself, secret organizations seeking to out-maneuver each other for ultimate power, and every day a simple miracle just to survive.

And who's standing between the rest of us "mundane citizens" and the myriad forces that seek to devour and conquer this world and those beyond?

The two violence-prone action junkies of the Shop: Frank Todd, the Generalist, and Daniel "Dash" Hopkins, his troll-gened companion and partner-in-crime.

Taking on all foes and challenges no matter how great or small, the Shop will do the job, get the pay, and woe betide any and all who dare to thwart their will!

Magic, martial arts, misfits, monsters and mayhem!

The Generalist! Because you simply cannot read about people getting punched in the face ENOUGH!

----------------------
Amazong ($2.99, should be $1.50 soon)
http://www.amazon.com/The-Generalist-...

Smashwords ($1.50 right the hell now!)
https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...
-----------------------

I'm also giving away copies over at Making Connections (and I guess here? Er, all of Goodreads? I'm still a newb here at GR) in exchange for honest reviews. If you think it sucks, cool - if you think it rocks, even cooler.

Hope to hear from ya guys~!

~Thomas Duder

Jennings Wright | 37 comments Hey all - I have a new release! It's the sequel to Solomon's Throne but stands alone (not that I wouldn't love for you to read both!). It's available as an ebook and in print from Amazon. Coming soon for Nook.

The Hoard of the Doges by Jennings Wright
The Hoard of the Doges

When her boss finds an Old Master painting buried under centuries of junk in a Venetian cellar, restoration specialist Rei Quinn is over the moon. When she gets kidnapped and the ransom demand is the painting, her enthusiasm understandably wanes. Along with her husband, security specialist Gideon, and their pilot friend Mac, the Quinns discover and decipher a map encoded in the painting. Taking off for Venice and her bygone territories, they begin the search for a treasure hidden since the Crusades. Hot on the trail are members of an ancient crime family, determined to finally claim the Venetian wealth. Who will be the first to find the hoard of the Doges?

The Hoard of the Doges is a fast paced adventure, whisking the reader back to Venice in the Middle Ages and forward to the Greek Isles and beyond.

In Taboo 1, the boys get jumped by a catgirl, battle for supremacy in the mean streets of Neo-L.A., and fight back against a hostile takeover from a new unit within the Mob!

And then the Catholics get involved...again.

Steve Wilson | 12 comments Hello, all,

I'm a new author in the military/espionage thriller genre. My first novel is titled 'Red Sky at Morning', and is the first in a series. You can read reviews right here on Goodreads. I've just completed the sequel and I am working with the publisher to see it go to press sometime in January.

Naturally, I like to think my book is a little different from others in the genre. You can read the prologue and first chapter free by visiting my website, www.stevewilsonauthor.com.

Glad to be part of the group!

Hi Amy, long time no see, but, you've been busy (lots of books huh?) I'll ad 13 to this list, did you have any others you wish me to add?

(Same to you Steve, I'll ad Red Sky and there were a couple others mentioned on the intro-thread I need to add.)

message 75: by Amy (new)

Amy Lignor (httpwwwgoodreadscomalignor) | 34 comments Hey there. Oh, it;s been a mess these past few months. A good mess in some ways LOL, but not in others. Two car accidents, if you can believe it and NO I wasn't the instigator. Thankfully, fender bender with a cell phone addict and then another one with the rental car provided to me while they fixed mine. I think I'm buying a horse. :) 13 is brand new and I LOVE the reviews it's getting and the second in the YA series came out, but not sure if that's your genre...How Are YOU???

message 76: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) Wow, first accidents & now you're going to buy a black hole to throw money into (horse), Amy? Your books must be good if you can afford that. Either that or you're very brave!

Says the man who's profile picture is him on a horse.

message 78: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) Actually, Chip is only 14.1h, so he's a pony, but he's an App, which is a horse breed, so I guess you could be correct. In either case, he's cheap compared to the Thoroughbreds. Marg & Erin spend more on their shoes than Chip cost. Yes, I know all about the horse financial black hole.

What kind of horse are you getting, Amy?

We want to get all of them that are eligible on the poll for the "member-author Book of the Month" (or the Maboom, if you will). PM me or post here, (even if you already have) and I'll try to get your books where ever I remember seeing you post about them.

Thomas Hay (wwwthomaslhaycom) | 14 comments My book "An Abduction Revelation" was inspired and written after I wrote my orginal memoirs. It is a blend of my Memoirs with sci-fi. But, then again, maybe it's not sci-fi. The reader will have to determine that. Kirkus review called it a oddly compelling book.

message 90: by Henry (new)

Henry Brown (machinetrooper) Yikes--looks like I missed an important thread here. Please add Tier Zero, and here's the blurb:

Tommy Scarred Wolf thought he had smelled the powder for the last time ten years ago. Then somebody messed with his family.

With no government willing or able to help out, it’s up to Tommy and his detective brother, Vince, to find Vince’s kidnapped daughter halfway around the world. But rescuing her is going to take funding, firepower, and friends. Fortunately, Tommy knows some shooters just crazy enough to tag along–including survivors from his last suicide mission: retired SEAL team commander Rocco Cavarra; former Delta Force operator Jake McCallum; and the unflappable sniper Leon Campbell.

On the ocean and in jungles both natural and urban, Tommy Scarred Wolf and his warrior brothers will face human traffickers, modern day pirates, a freak typhoon, and an ultra-secret black ops team so dangerous even the CIA can’t touch them. There’s something far more sinister than just “white slavery” going on here, and it’s about to ram these men through a crucible which may never end…except in death.

You know, you are already on *my* list. Anything as addicting as these books have been, I'm sure they are illegal and therefore must be on lists somewhere already.

Downloaded the sample, got to the end and immediately bought the book ... and haven't done anything I was supposed to do today and probably won't until I get to the end. This is not good, not when I still have horses to feed and a commission for book illustrations to work on.

Obviously, I have no will power at all.
