Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Yesh. My phone is rather annoying.

Are you synesthetic?

Sometimes I associate colors and smells with things, but no, not really.

message 53: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Ah. Some mental conditions are quite interesting. Along with other conditions. Most conditions suck. Like asthma. I know waaaaay too well.

message 54: by Laszlo, The Professor (new)

Laszlo (steampunk) | 287 comments Mod
One condition is called "Someone-who-I-can't-remember's Curse," where if you fall asleep, you die.

That isn't it. I like Physics, I just want to say that.

message 59: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments @Lazslo- I can tell.

message 60: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments @Kggelen- Slightly. Just a little bit. I associate colors with numbers and names. For example, Julia is light blue, Lazslo is brown, and you are lavender.

message 61: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Was it The Secret Series? I love those books.

message 62: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments For Katie, I would say a dark, royal blue.

(I'm only a little bit. My friend is more, so I'll ask her too)

message 63: by Rinasa1234 (new)

Rinasa1234 I don't have that but I associate things. And sometimes a bit oddly too. Just ask Katie. I associate friends with animals or things and I associate items and colors with other things too. I sometimes do it with numbers and songs too.

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Our little debate.

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm currently reading Bones of Faerie. Fairies. Death. Darkness. You know.

I think that everyone is different, but we're all humans and we're all unique. However, we may not be as different as we seem. Though if we weren't different at all, like strengths, weaknesses, etc., then we wouldn't be unique, yet we are unique. But we're all the same.
Mysterious . . .

So, you're saying that we are different. If we are all unique, then no one is, but we are all the slight bit different. Plus, we're idealists! (Kinda.) And we are CRAAAZZZY.

I always think of crawfish when I hear cray cray. XD
Heeeyyyyyy, you need to go on the Mad Tea Partu post on NM! We're in the middle of barbecuing Geronimo the Nothing.

Exactly. No one is different, even though we like to deny it.

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Yes. I won. Because Mary is backing ME up. And I have a secret that automatically makes me win.

Do you mind if you introduce yourself?

message 85: by [deleted user] (new)

Laszlo wrote: "Do you mind if you introduce yourself?"

Sorry, I've been trying and I don't really know the best way to do it -- um . . . jfl;ajfd;laskdfjslkdfs
I'm almost thirteen, I love to read and write, I play the piano, I'm weird and random, and I really like chocolate. I watch a lot of old TV shows, and I know Zelda and Julia from New Moon.

Did I do that wrong? I'm pretty terrible at introducing myself. >.<

Laszlo (steampunk) | 287 comments Mod
No, but can you put that in the "Who Are You?" topic? I know Zelda and Mary, as well!

message 87: by D.A. (new)

D.A. Metrov (metrov) | 14 comments I'm not trying to advertise, but I'm reading the first draft of my new book, FALCON LORD -- BOOK TWO: RESTORATION. It will then go to a series of editors to fix my spelling and grammar errors which I always think do not exist... yet still they find them. :)

You can talk about your book in the "Authors" topic, and if you haven't, please introduce yourself in the "Who Are you?" topic.

message 93: by Rinasa1234 (new)

Rinasa1234 I'm about 3/4 of the way in. It's a good book. I know the ending is sad but I don't know what the ending is.

message 94: by Rinasa1234 (new)

Rinasa1234 I finished the book. It was really sad. Saddest book I think I've ever read.

message 95: by Laszlo, The Professor (new)

Laszlo (steampunk) | 287 comments Mod
Why?

message 96: by Rinasa1234 (new)

Rinasa1234 It just made you feel really sympathetic for the main character. Ou develop a bond with her and then this major thing happens and you feel what she feels. The author did a really good job at bringing the character alive and putting the emotions out there. Also, there is symbolism in the story and that adds to the sadness too. It was a really great book though.

message 97: by Rinasa1234 (new)

Rinasa1234 I just started reading To Kill a Mockingbird tonight and it's really good so far.

message 98: by Rinasa1234 (new)

Rinasa1234 Not until ninth grade. Ask the teacher, ninth grade. After The Giver, we read Anne Frank. That's it for eighth grade. Plus, if you read the book you would probably say ninth grade too because compared to the other books we read......

message 99: by Danielle (new)

Danielle I'm currently reading "The Wind Up Girl" by Paolo Bacigalupi. It's bonkers! In a good way. I have read that it is technically considered "biopunk" but there are connections to steampunk. I think this would be a great book to read with the group.
